Launcher Installer Stuck
 
I downloaded MC off the official website. When I attempt to run the Launcher Installer, it opens and it says "Making things amazing" and the progress bar doesn't move. I've tried closing it, then opening it again. I've also tried deleting it and redownloading Minecraft from the official website. I'm trying to download the Java edition to see if it helps. 
 
 
The latest launcher (released Nov 2) has not been resolved for a lot of users. 
 
 
Assuming you have the game and not only on GamePass for the moment, you can download/install the Windows 7/8 launcher. This is the launcher we've been using for years. (Link) 
 
 
To avoid the upgrade nag, right-click the old launcher shortcut to make it compatible with Windows 8 under the Compatibility tab. 
 
 
It's an absolute lifesaver! I downloaded it and it wouldnt install. I experienced the same issue as the man who posted this. Liberty is not free worked! 
 
 
PS- scroll down the link and you'll see an the option that says launcher for windows 7/8 , and download is from there. I am dumb, i continued to download windows 10/11 repeatedly and again lol.
